AbstractThe purpose of this series of studies is to explore the role technology can play in providing students the opportunity to participate in structured engagement activities designed to develop their skills in using theory to solve educational problems. We have adopted a design experiment model where we are conducting a series of studies to move from a paper-based implementation of case-based structured engagement activities to a technology-based structured engagement experience. Thereby using technology to provide an enriched educational experience that has traditionally been limited by constraints on instructor's time both in-class and in providing feedback on written assignments.
