The Impact of Title V Funded Technology Institutes on Faculty Use of Technology
AbstractA small, Catholic liberal arts institution was able to conduct technology training with 85% of its faculty through a Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions Grant. This training coupled with improvements in the technology infrastructure and support has made an impact on how faculty members are using technology in the classroom. This paper will discuss the Technology Institutes in terms of the application process, format, content and evaluation. The results of several follow-up surveys which have been conducted with faculty one-year after their institute experience to determine what progress they have made with regard to integrating technology in their classroom teaching will be presented.
