By United States law entities to which the Americans with Disabilities Act applies are also required to meet accessibility requirements in regard to their web content. As public schools and universities are moving to a more internet focused community these accessibility issues will become an increasing problem. This paper presents a study that examined 100 University homepages for accessibility violations. It was discovered that may of these homepages contain features that would cause difficulty for disabled users. Many of these accessibility issues can be corrected using only simple web page design and creation techniques. Several simple solutions to the most common of these problems are presented.Date
