Sustaining PT3 Initiatives: It's More than Money

Abstract

With the reduction and phasing out of PT3 funding, there are many PT3 projects that no longer enjoy PT3 support, or are in their final or extension years, making sustainability a major concern. It is our belief that sustainability requires not only funding but other support to continue systemic changes. This paper offers a framework for sustaining PT3 projects that is characterized by leadership and vision supporting a culture of innovation, a supportive infrastructure that institutionalizes change, ongoing planning that responds to needs, collaboration and communication among all stakeholders, and dissemination of ongoing assessment to stakeholders.
