Abstract
Web programming is a fast changing field where new technologies and software offer better ways to design and develop powerful web solutions. A recent addition to web development technology is the .NET frame work from Microsoft. Microsoft's .NET technology is a programming architecture for designing and implementing web based applications and services. Under the .NET framework, ASP.NET is the environment for running web applications developed using one of the many .NET programming languages. The way an ASP.NET web application is developed and run is very different from the traditional ASP. The objective of this paper is to throw light into the challenges one may encounter when teaching ASP.NET web development. Through this paper the author will share her experience in designing and delivering a successful ASP.NET web development course.
