AbstractThis paper reports on a work in progress. The authors have developed a web-based program that allows the user to participate in the process of simulating data sets. The user's objective is to simulate data that one might have under various conditions of "statistical control." Doing this involves the user in what educators refer to as constructivist learning-learning in the process of doing. The simulation software is described, and its grounding in constructivist principles is explained.
