Innovative Faculty Development: Auburn University’s Summer Academy

Abstract

Our presentation at these proceedings will include an in-depth discussion of Auburn University's Summer Academy, an intensive five week faculty development workshop. The presentation will include complete participant survey data and comments from follow up list serve postings; a comprehensive view of a completed faculty project for an Introductory Spanish course; and web based access to sample projects from various academic disciplines. We will discuss how the Academy can be implemented at various levels and tailored to specific institutional needs. Additionally, attendees will receive Auburn University's organizational materials and surveys that they can use to aid in future faculty development.
