AbstractEvolutions in education lead to an increased use of problem-based learning and avariety of technologies. This contribution discusses the issue of support in technologicallyrich, problem-based and collaborative learning environments. Five dimensions of support areidentified: amount of support, topical object, formal object, delivery system and timing.In the ParlEuNet-project, an European project, four different support models will beinvestigated in a rich technological, problem-based learning environment. Two models relateto access to a dedicated database, the two others relate to the role of the teacher.
