IT (Information Technology) in Education has been a widely used term. However, what constitutes the real essence of the term is still not quite known to the many stakeholders concerned. In this paper, we reveal the essence, elaborate the meanings underlying the term and suggest a framework for better understanding it. It is believed that such would help in establishing adequate specifications, evaluating alternative options, selecting best solutions, and enabling and promoting effective learning practices.Date
