Preservice Teachers' Attitudes Towards and Knowledge of Assistive Adaptive Technologies

AbstractThe growing inclusion of special needs students in the regular classroom has created a need for at least a minimal awareness of instructional methods and asistive devices to help these students become productive members in the classroom. This presentation will present the results of a study of preservice teacher's knowledge of and attitudes toward assisitive adaptive techologies. An overview of an awareness workshop and the survey instrument will also be shared.
