This case study describes one instructor's attempt to implement culturally responsive practices in online and onsite sections of a foundation, multicultural education course. After two years of investigation into the topics of culturally responsive teaching, the instructor endeavored to internalize and practice aspects of culturally responsive teaching as a way of improving instruction for pre-service teachers. The empowerment of the next generation of teachers to effectively reach and respond to students with culturally responsive teaching strategies was the compelling reason for undertaking this study.Date
