AbstractTechnology is a crucial tool for professors in Higher Education. Yet, many professors are still afraid of technology or possess a lack of understanding of the benefits that technology has for university instruction. The graduate program in Multicategorical Special Education at Governors State University began infusing technology into all required courses for the program. Many of the program courses are now utilizing WebCt and advanced technology usage for both the students and faculty. A large number of courses require students to become proficient at several computer applications including PowerPoint and Web page production. Through a Power Point Presentation, Dr. Kasik will discuss the efficacy of methodologies utilized in the Governors State University program; present helpful techniques for faculty teaching in Higher Education settings; provide participants with resourceful Internet sites; and demonstrate student products such as power point presentations and websites.
