Considerations for the Development of Web-Based Training

Abstract

This paper intends to address the potential benefits of choosing Web based training and concerns about how to conduct effective and efficient Web-based training. These benefits include cost and time saving, open and flexible learning, just-in-time and just-enough training design, ease of update and revision, and globalization and universality. The issues and concerns include conducting needs assessment, understanding and facilitating adult learners, content and technology support, identifying subject topics, analyzing corporate culture, interaction and communication.
