The campus of the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland at Gaborone, capital of the Republic of Botswana in Southern Africa, was founded in mid-1971 with virtually no physical facilities, minimum staff, almost no equipment, almost no library, but with pledges for capital funds, land, recurrent support for running expenses and international assistance to provide lecturers.Date
