Medical progress is largely based on research. Therefore, medical progress relies on observation and experimentation involving human and animal subjects. In order to facilitate the spread of information regarding ethical principles that need to be observed when performing medical research, this paper will summarize and briefly explain the content of fundamental ethical principles for medical research, as they are currently accepted and enforced.Date
