Las versiones en judeoespañol del Ḥobot halebabot

Abstract

In this article I present a brief sample of the first results of a work in development on the versions in the Judeo-Spanish Séfer torá Ḥobot halebabot (‘Book of doctrine «Duties of hearts»’), title in Hebrew that Yehudá ibn Tibón (12th century) gave to his translation of the Treaty originally written in Arabic entitled Kitāb al-hidāya ilā farā’id al-qulūb (‘Book of doctrine «Duties of hearts»’), by Baḥiá ben Yosef ibn Pacuda, Aragonese from the second half of the 11th century. Taking as a basis the first edition complete in Judeo-Spanish (Thessaloniki ca. 1568), write some of the more significant variants of the other three (1713 Venice, Vienna 1822 and Constantinople 1898). Likewise, and occasionally also point out some variants of Judeo-Spanish four edits on the Hebrew text.

En este artículo expongo una breve muestra de los primeros resultados de un trabajo en elaboración sobre las versiones en judeoespañol del Séfer torá Ḥobot halebabot (‘Libro de la doctrina «Deberes de los corazones»’), título en hebreo que el granadino Yehudá ibn Tibón (siglo xii) le dio a su traducción del tratado filosófico-moral escrito originalmente en árabe con el título Kitāb al-hidāya ilā farā’id al-qulūb (‘Libro de la doctrina «Deberes de los corazones»’), por Baḥiá ben Yosef ibn Pacudá, aragonés de la segunda mitad del siglo xi. Tomando como base la primera edición completa en judeoespañol de la versión hebrea (Salónica ca. 1568), indico algunas de las variantes más significativas de las otras tres (Venecia 1713, Viena 1822 y Constantinopla 1898). Asimismo y ocasionalmente, señalo también algunas variantes de las cuatro ediciones judeoespañolas respecto al texto hebreo.
