A major part of Michael T. Turvey’s contribution to ecological psychology are reflections on the coordination of movement, in particular with regard to the environment. This suggestion plays an important role in the beginning of the debate on motor control, whose today’s meaning is far broader than the original one, including the field of cognitive science. An overview of the progress of the debate has been presented, from the beginning to the present day, with an indication towards its diversity and the role of what Michael T. Turvey suggested 30 years ago.Date
