Este artigo discute as relações de gênero vividas por mulheres imigrantes judias, procedentes da Europa Oriental, que se fixaram em São Paulo e em Nova York, e por suas filhas, nascidas nessas cidades, apontando a importância das categorias gênero e geração nos estudos comparativos de imigração.<br>This article discusses the Eastern European Jewish immigrants' women gender relationships, who settled in São Paulo and in New York, and their daughters' experiences, showing how important gender and generation categories are for the comparatives studies of international migration.
