Abstract
"Apart from the fact that I happen to find them funny, the reason I start this article with some ecclesiastical light bulb jokes is because they illustrate the first point that I wish to make: we all have to do our theology in a pluriform setting. What these jokes draw attention to is the fact that a whole variety of different ways of being Christian exist in today’s world. One of the things I want to argue in this paper is that any responsible theology has to be undertaken in the light of this fact. Furthermore, there are not only a whole variety of different ways of being Christian in today’s world. There are also a whole variety of different ways of simply being human and theology needs to take these into account as well"
