Significatividade e verdade

Abstract

O presente artigo enfoca a concepção semântica da noção de verdade e a interpreta como uma tese acerca da prioridade da significatividade em relação à verdade. A partir disso, argumenta-se que a concepção deflacionista da verdade é inadequada, com base na alegação de que a significatividade envolve relações inferenciais e referenciais e na alegação de que a predicação da verdade envolve a atribuição de existência.<br>This paper focuses the semantic conception of truth and takes it as a thesis about the priority of significance in relation to the truth. It's argued that the deflacionary conception of truth is inadequate, on the allegation that the significance envelops inferential and referential relations, and on the allegation that the predicament of truth involves the assignment of existence.
