Abstract
"The preface to the recently-published second edition of John Wunber' s book Power Evangelism gives the information that the book has been translated into 'at least a dozen languages' and that total sales approach a quarter ofa million copies.1 One of the messages of this book is that the mission of the Church, like that of Jesus as recorded in the Gospels, should consist not only of proclamation but also of 'demonstration', which Wimber says should include healing the sick, exorcising the demonised and raising the dead.2 In his companion volume, Power Healing, Wimber states that 'The first guiding principle is: God wants to heal the sick today'"
