Abstract
["This article aims to present some of the most important debates of Latin- American academic literature dedicated to the study of the relationship between State and Development in Latin America, focusing on the most relevant works published between 2006 and 2013 in regional social sciences. Pursuing this objective, this article organizes and analyzes the most updated theories about the above mentioned topic, since it is observed that after the crisis of neoliberalism, an important number of studies dedicated to Development Studies have proliferated. These studies had the particularity of establishing a near relationship with the approach to the role played by the State in “posneoliberalism”. This article starts by validating the political and theoretical return of the problematics of State and Development to Latin-American social sciences, observing then the emergence of new theoretical efforts, and at the same time, conceptualizing problems when categorizing development models in existence in Latin America. In that sense, this article aims to investigate the conceptualization of categories such as State and Development, which are contained in the leading academic literature of the studied period, as well as in the concepts of “newdevelopmentalism” and “extractivism”, both converted in articulating categories of the discussions about the different development models in struggle in “posneoliberalism”"]
