AbstractThis article discusses a historical study about the development of assessment in the teaching learning process of History in Cuban High Schools. In the discussion the particulars of the teaching learning process of History in High Schools were taken into account as well as the system of assessment based on the study of the norms that rule the changes that occur in its forms, apart from the curricular decisions that influence the teaching learning process of History and the transformations occurred in High School Education.
