Abstract
"La forma en que aparece escrito el vocablo olam en el texto de Eclesiastés, permite apreciar la semejanza lingüística entre el mismo —que denota la noción de tiempo y eternidad en la Biblia, y de mundo y cosmos en el Talmud y Midrashim— con el del verbo "ocultar". Ya el Midrash se detuvo en este detalle deduciendo del mismo una forma de interpretar el versículo. Tal vez dicha semejanza viene a insinuar un concepto más abarcativo que aquél al cual se restringe el Midrash. El sentido de la vida aparece cual inescrutable misterio a los ojos de aquel que busca el significado del ser. Job y el Eclesiastés sirven de textos por excelencia para recrear la búsqueda de las generaciones pretéritas y replantear la eterna cuestión del sentido de nuestra existencia."
