Korelasi antara Bimbingan Konseling Islam dan Dakwah

Abstract

This article tries to explain the correlation between Islamic counseling guidance and dakwah. Dakwah is an activity to call and invite others towards the path of Allah. Islamic Guidance and Counselling is a branch of social sciences which began to be developed as an independent discipline. The existence of the Islamic guidance and counselling activities is based on the fact that in facing and resolving problems, there are individuals who are able to resolve themselves, but there are also individuals who need the help of others. In practice, the guidance counseling will refer to a number of approaches, including: behavioristic approach, psycho dynamics, eclectic, psycho analysis and existential humanistic. These approaches are chosen based on the client’s condition, the problems encountered, the ability of counselors as parties who provide guidance as well as the conditions and situation at the time of counseling guidance takes place. According to Hamdan Bakran adz-Dzaky, Islamic guidance counseling is an activity which provides guidance, lessons, and guidelines to individuals who ask for guidance (client) in terms of how it should develop his ration and mind, soul, faith and belief, as well as tackling the problem of life well and true individually, which use the paradigm of the Qur’an and as-Sunnah. The process of execution of Islamic guidance counseling refers to the dakwah ethical principles of the preaching of Islam, namely bi al-hikmah al-hasanah, al-mau’idhah and al-mujadalah bi al-lati hiya ahsan.
