Pemikiran Daud Rasyid Terhadap Upaya Ingkar Sunnah Kelompok Orientalis di Indonesia

Abstract

This article discusses about Daud Rasyid’s thought to the rejected Sunnah of orientalist in Indonesia. Daud Rashid is an intellectual Muslim whose studies focus on the hadith. The author tries to describe this figure when dealing with the phenomenon of breaking Sunnah in Indonesia. Study of the Sunnah in the context of Indonesian culture is largely excerpted from the book Daud Rashid, entitled As-Sunnah fi Indunisiyya: baina Ansariha wa Khusumiha. Study of the Sunnah in the context of Indonesian culture that reveal about the phenomenon of rejecting the Sunnah in this country. This study found that the majority phenomenon of rejecting this Sunnah is in the academic area. Freedom of thought made some intellectual people think progressively. Although the confusion of thinking about Sunnah that occurred in the scope of academia has not entirely be regarded as essentially rejected. However, some people assume that this phenomenon is also quite disturbing the Islamic community in Indonesia. Daud Rashid as renowned the hadith experts who is rather conservative greatly regrets the occurrence of the phenomenon of rejecting the Sunnah of this kind, especially if it comes from their own intellectual Muslim’s thought.
