Abstract
" With this issue The Baptist Review of TheologylLa Revue Baptiste de Theologie completes its fourth year of publication. From the beginning of the journal in 1991 it has been extremely gratifying to the editors to see the warm reception that the journal has been given in Baptist and Evangelical circles. From its inception the journal has sought to be a catalyst for theological discussion within an evangelical Baptist framework. Thus, we have have featured articles reflecting on such contemporary issues as the Christian and politics [BRT, 1, No.l; 2, No.2] and the Vineyard movement [BRT, 3, No.2]. In the previous issue and the present one the whole realm of eschatology has been a major focus of attention. William J. Webb, professor of New Testament at Heritage Baptist College and Theological Seminary, concludes a masterful study of Revelation 20 from a premillennial perspective, a response to Don Garlington's equally penetrating amillennial study of the same passage in BRT, 4, No.I. Following the article by Webb is one by Paul Helm, who teaches philosophy at the University of Liverpool, England, on John Calvin and his thoughts on religious language. Calvin, an incisive theologian and exegete, continues to be a central influence on the current evangelical scene and reflection on any aspect of his thought is sure to pay rich dividends. The next article in this issue is by Pierre Tellier, a member of Eglise Baptiste Montclair de Hull, Quebec, where one of the editors currently serves as pastor"
