«SPATIAL TURN» OF THE CONTEMPORARY WESTERN HISTORIOGRAPHY: FACES OF THE WORLD HISTORY DURING THE GLOBALIZATION ERA
Abstract
The author analyzes the newest tendencies of the western historical scholarship development: in the 2000th the historiography makes turn from microhistory to macrohistory, returning subjects of world or the global history left still in the 1960th. The factors which have affected on western historiography «spatial turn», and the principal vectors of the researches which are carrying out under brand of a world history are considered. Purpose: to characterize the direction of the researches developed at the beginning of the XXI century under aegis of western historiography «spatial turn» Methodology: historical typology, comparative Results: Contemporary western historiography «spatial turn» which led to formation of the new directions of researches in the field of a world history is characterized. Practical implications: researches and manuals writing in the field of a historiography and history methodology.Date
