AbstractArticle is devoted to consideration of a phenomenon of self-understanding within a narrative approach. Research objective: to analyze the main features of a narrative approach in the field of self-understanding research, to reveal specifics of this approach to studying of a phenomenon of self-understanding. The author considers a number of concepts of self-understanding in the tideway of a narrative approach, reveals their specifics. The author draws a conclusion that the self-understanding in narrative tradition is considered as the continuous Self-Construal occurring in a certain social and cultural context. The special attention in article is given to the concept of Self-Construal and its analysis within psychology of human life where the self-understanding is considered as search and finding of.
