QUALITY OF ATMOSPHERIC AIR AS COMPONENT OF QUALITY OF HABITAT OF THE IVANOVO REGION

Abstract

Purpose - the analysis of quality of atmospheric air in the territory of the Ivanovo area as major factor of formation of quality of habitat of the population. Methodology. In work the following methods of research - the analysis and processing of statistical materials, comparisons, ordering and mapping were applied. The analysis of pollution of atmospheric air was carried out on materials of the statistical reporting 2 TP-vozdukh for 2005-2011 of the state reports «About a condition of surrounding environment of the Ivanovo area» Federal management of ecology and natural resources of the Ivanovo area and data of the Center on hydrometeorology and monitoring of environment of the Ivanovo area. For comparison purposes level of pollution of city atmospheric air and identification of tendencies of its change the formalized indicator (technique was applied Akimova T.A., Moseykina Y.N. (2009)). Results of work - the complex characteristic of quality of atmospheric air in the territory of the Ivanovo area is given. The major factors promoting pollution of the air basin of the region are defined and the polluting substances making a powerful contribution to this problem are allocated. The formalized indicator - a complex index of pollution of atmospheric air is calculated. It is developed картосхема pollution of atmospheric air of the Ivanovo area. Research limitations/implications. Results of work can be considered by Federal management of ecology and natural resources of the Ivanovo area by preparation of recommendations about environmental protection in the region in the field of protection of atmospheric air. Need of conducting environmental monitoring of stationary sources of emissions and quality of atmospheric air of zones of their influence with use of system of base indicators is proved.
