| dc.description.abstract | Regarding to the evaluation of learning, until now there are still a lot of learning outcomes instruments, whether used by teachers for daily test or by schools for general test , have not met the requirements of an ideal yet i.e., non biased and scalable standard. Learning outcomes instrument containing bias items would be detrimental to the students who has the same abilities with students who answered correctly simply because of different groups. In other words, the instruments containing bias items, do not give the same opportunity to answer correctly on the person taking the test with the same abilities, just because they come from different groups. In this case, it could mean the difference in cultures, gender, religion, and more. According to Saifuddin Azwar, four factors suspected as the causes of the performance gap between men and women in relation to responses to test questions, namely 1). Bias test questions , 2). multiple-choice format, 3). opportunity to guess, and 4) time constraints. | |
