Abstract
"THE recumenical movement of the past 150 years can be looked at from many points of view. Its outstanding personalities may be catalogued and their work assessed, or its leading events and successive stages marked and described. The purpose of this article, however, is to seek to show the relation of prayer to the recumenical movement, not indeed from its historical side but rather as arising from the nature of prayer itself. There are consequences which inevitably follow when prayer is addressed to the Christian's God, when communion is sought, adoration is offered, confession and intercession are made in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of all mankind"
