Abstract
This article tries to discuss about the scholar methods in understanding Hadith in modern era. The author states that after the era of tadwin, almost all disciplines of knowledge in the Islamic world, including the study of hadith, was considered “running on the spot.” In modern era, discourse about hadith develops significantly. The author makes a classification of hadith studies in four methods: Orientalist, Muhadisin of modern era, rational method, and moderate method. In the finding, the author argues that these methods have different way in understanding the hadith.

Export search results
