dc.description.abstract | This paper will highlight the paradigm of the phenomenology of religion as an approach to study Islam. Islamic studies in the early days just studied from the point of view of language, literature, and theology. Once acquainted with the various civilizations, Islam studied in a richer perspective. This is feasible because Islam is an open religion which brings universal values. Islamic studies, therefore, should reflect the values of openness and character of Islam itself. This paper attempt to ensure that the approach to the phenomenology of religion, Islamic studies will be increasingly relevant to the challenges of modernity so as to facilitate the study of Islam institutionalized in a social engineering. | |
