dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses the approaches in Islamic studies. In the Moslems world, all Moslems believe that Islam is an absolute doctrine. It means that Islamic doctrine will be able to answer the problems of social and religion problems appearing all long the time. In addition, there were interplay about relations of Moslems belief and their social reality. Why Moslems think that Islam is as a problem solving appearing in Moslem societies. One of way of those solving is with Islamic studies. In Islamic studies, there are two paradigms. First, orthodox perspective, namely with orthodoxy studies to be Islam as dogma position. The perspective of it was transcendental perspective. Second, orthopraxy studies in where Islam was put as a histories reality with empiric perspective. The relation between orthodoxy studies (normative studies of Islam) and orthopraxy studies (histories studies of Islam) is parallel. In fact, only normative studies that was studied by majority of Moslems society. It’s good for belief graduate. But for development Moslem society, it was necessary for Moslems to study about Islam with histories perspective. | |
