Abstract
Islamic education study program cannot be separated from the demands of society in the development of effective and efficient curriculum to increase its influence in the community. In this study the author found that the curriculum of Islamic education study program (PAI) has experienced several innovations. In 2002 there was a curriculum development innovations in particular because of the demands of society that expects the strengthening of religious content. The weakening control of the content of Islamic education because most of the input comes from the high school and even from SMK, a major factor in curriculum innovation. Priority competence alumni of the Department of PAI more focused on preparing teachers for junior high and high school religion or formal education. As for preparing the needs of scholars still difficult. In 2012 the curriculum of religious content more than the curriculum in 2002 and 2007. In addition, the curriculum subjects appear Islam and Javanese culture in response to the development of Javanese culture.
