Union With Other Churches

Abstract

"DURING my ministry in a small town where there were four Baptist Churches, it was felt that there ought to be more fraternity among the officers and members of the Churches of a like· faith and order. As in many other similar cases we were so independent that we had become "little gardens walled around," with plenty of broken glass on the top of the wall. There was a growing conviction that such things ought not to be. In the case in question two of the Churches had settled ministers, one was served by a gifted layman as honorary pastor, and at the other the services were conducted 'by local supplies"
