Abstract
"There is no part of the Old Testament where the doctrine of Jahweh' s Grace to Israel is set forth so forcibly as in DeuteroIsaiah. The Book of Jonah may define 'the scope of the divine purpose more explicitly. bringing out the obligation which Jahweh' s generous goodness lays upon Israel towards the great heathen world ; but for insight into the problems of divine grace and history, we must turn to the great evangelical prophet of the exile. For one thing, time and tide were with him"
