Abstract

This text presents the conceptual and theoretical frame of a research dedicated to the study of the ordinary man’s multiple figurations in the Brazilian documentary during the last fifteen years. It demonstrates how they are opposed to the growing spectacularization of the everyday life promoted by the different television genres.
