Tradisi Islam dan Pendidikan Humanisme

Abstract

As a plural country, Indonesia has a great challenge in deal with social conflict and social cohesion. Islam as a religion of majority of Indonesian people has a significant role in managing the plurality in Indonesia. The author states that Islam has ideas about humanism, tolerance, and respect the other. These ideas should be implemented especially in educational institution in Indonesia. Humanist education emphasizes the balancing among intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence.
