Abstract
Globalization has had gendered impacts on the lives of women, men and their families. It is about class, race-ethnic and gender relations. It is also considered as an economic, political, cultural and technological process which constitutes a human challenge that invites us to embrace the interdependence of human kind and its cultural diversities. Dialogue, on the other hand, encourages openness to the positive side of globalization which brings together interrelatedness among people and increased interaction among all cultures. It promotes the seeking of common ground to address threats to global peace, strengthen cooperation in solving international issues of economic, social, cultural and humanitarian character. It, therefore, promotes culture of peace. Thus, Globalization and Dialogue know no geographic and cultural boundaries. It is essential to ensure harmonious interaction among people and groups with plural and dynamic cultural identities. In this globalizing world human survival depends upon careful and thoughtful exploitation of all existing resources and nurturing and improving all capacities in the community. This calls for preparation of suitable grounds to enable talents and skills to flourish without gender discrimination. In this area recognition of the women's capacities and abilities that form half of the world population can help mankind to deploy this giant mass of the community. Due to their inherent nature, women are capable of building new bridges between culture and civilizations, promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, human rights, democratic principles and diversity and transferring and perpetuating mutual respect to future generations . Thus, women can pave the way for lasting peace by promoting cultural dialogue. This paper tries to explain the role of women as facilitator of dialogue among civilization towards sustainable development in the globalizing world.
