Abstract
The paper aims at conceptualizing and analyzing the meaning of ethical leadership in organizations. It is an attempt to provide broader and moral aspects of leadership that is essential and necessary for sustainability and long-term achievement of organizational goals. The paper uses a wide range of literature that provides relevant explanations of ethical leadership perspectives as phenomena for a competitive advantage in the new globalized business world. Leadership in general is about many things such as, vision, principle and integrity. It is especially about the power to motivate others through words and deeds. Ethical leadership is about ethically motivating others in effective and humane directions. Such a leadership forms the foundation of sustainable business practices in organizations. Organizations that have ethical leaders, not other sorts of leaders stand a better future. The dynamic and globalized world of business is complex and demands much more than persons holding managerial titles, but leaders with concern for ethics.
