Abstract
"Many people now recognize the critical role of communication in resolving inter-human conflicts. Yet few acknowledge that communication is equally important for our conflicts with the natural world. Within the human realm, we can engage in spoken or written dialogue as a means of conveying our personal interests, needs, and desires. But what happens outside the realm of humanity, where we do not speak the language of those with whom we interact? How do we engage in dialogues with earthworms, snails, and plants? those are question we will discuss here. "
