Abstract
(Pupils can develop a deep and genuine understanding of concepts at first high and ambitious, even for adults, as deliberation, consensus, citizenship and participation. Moreover, they suggest that civic education, if it goes beyond decorative or ceremonial, or a simulation of future roles and responsibilities, can open a universe of possibilities, surprising to many, that makes them feel more ownership of their lives and, therefore, increasing their wellbeing and personal and social development.)
