西方科技伦理思想从古希腊罗马时期开始萌生，中世纪与文艺复兴时期反抗宗教势力压制、 争取生存权利，经过16世纪中期至18世纪中期的丰富发展、18世纪后期至19世纪后期成熟， 到20世纪以来的全面繁荣，日益成为应用伦理学的核心部分。它发展迅速，功能增强，引人注 目。因此，探讨它的基本内容及发展规律，以便从中得到有益的启示，作为建设社会主义道德 文明的借鉴，是一项有价值的工作。
