Abstract
"The analysis of the text about Joseph in house of the eunuch Potifar, from a perspective of gender and masculinities, tunes in directly to gender construction of the character, traced in other places of Jacob's cycle. The article tries to offer new interpretive lights that allow a deconstruction in key of gender, not only of the literary masculine characters, José and Potifar, but of the relations of power and violence raised between Joseph, the woman and other men. It’s possible to identify in Joseph, a surviving masculinity."
