Abstract
"The book of Job presents three different models of the divine economy. These are: 1) the model of a blessed life in the prose fable; 2) the model of a cursed life and how to avoid it in the laments and final summons of Job in conversation with his friends; 3) and the model of life in abundance, which is the answer of God to Job out of the whirlwind. This article explores each of these three models, and concludes by suggesting that the principal contribution of the book of Job is to insist that they keep talking to one another through the model of the divine economy that the readers of the book continue to construct."
