Abstract
This paper describes the current status and concepts of business ethics and corporate social responsibility in Poland compared to the United States and Western Europe. It uses an eight-part framework, consisting of history, political structures, religion, social norms, civil society strengths, level of economic development, geographical considerations, and health and “safety net” issues, to explain the differences and the reasons why CSR and business ethics are developing as they are in Poland.
