Abstract
The text from Matthew 25,31-46 is paradigmatic for liveration theologies. The article does a study of the text emhasizing its literary and social context; its structure and central terms for understanding "judgment". It emphasizes the centrality that the diaconate and the messianic identification have with the excluded people - this provokes a sense of surprise at the moment of the judgment. The dynamics of judging is a daily activity, and becomes a reality by means of a relationship of solidarity shown by the diaconate which in turn reveals God´s economy. The divine economy is a way of organizing that inverts values and systems meant to maintain the status quo. God´s economy is the propelling force for the diaconate and a fountain of strategies that beginning with a focus on the reality of the poor, feed world hope"
