Abstract
This article presents the life of Teresa of Avila and comments on some meditations of Teresa on the Song of Songs (principally 1,1; 1,2; 2,3; 2,4; and 2,6; and in a secondary way the texts of 1,15; 2,3-4; 4,7; 6,2; 6,9; and 8,5;). In the selection itself the theology and intention of Teresa is present. She chose texts of great eroticism. This is another proof of the ancient relationship between mystical love and the erotic and reaffirms the observation that some mystics were great readers, learners and commentators of the Song of Songs and felt an immense fascination for this book"
